The Wytches are an English rock band formed in 2011 in Peterborough, later relocating to Brighton. Known for their dark, reverb-heavy sound that blends elements of garage rock, psych-rock, surf, and doom, the band is fronted by Kristian Bell (vocals/guitar), with a rotating lineup over the years that has included bassist Daniel Rumsey and drummer Gianni Honey.
They gained attention with their 2014 debut album Annabel Dream Reader, released on Heavenly Recordings, which showcased their raw, menacing sound and intense live performances. The album was well received and established them as a key act in the UK underground rock scene.
Subsequent releases like All Your Happy Life (2016) and Three Mile Ditch (2020) continued to evolve their eerie, grunge-infused style. In 2023, they returned with Our Guest Can’t Be Named, further cementing their reputation for brooding, atmospheric music. The Wytches have maintained a loyal cult following and are praised for their gritty, emotionally charged approach to modern rock.
