Described by themselves as simply ‘a party band’, Leeds-based band The Sunshine Underground are a fine mix of indie and dance music infused with electronic beats and bleeps, funky bass lines and epic, rousing choruses. With a particular dislike of playing big venues they prefer small, late night gigs, encouraging a houseparty atmosphere. Admitting themselves that making the same kind of music gets boring, The Sunshine Underground have a different offering in every track and, in their own words are ‘…writing music because they want to and playing it to other people because they want to hear it’.
