The Farm head to Bristol’s Thekla on August 29th 2025.
The Farm are a British band from Liverpool, best known for their blend of alternative rock, dance, and baggy-style music that rose to prominence in the early 1990s. Formed in the early 1980s, their most successful lineup solidified around 1988, with Peter Hooton as lead vocalist.
They achieved major success with their 1990 debut album Spartacus, which reached number one on the UK Albums Chart. The album included hit singles like “Groovy Train” and “All Together Now”, the latter becoming an enduring anthem known for its message of unity and peace.
Closely associated with the “Madchester” and indie-dance scenes, The Farm were also politically active and connected to the anti-racist group Love Music Hate Racism. Though their mainstream success was relatively brief, they remain a cult favourite and continue to perform live.
