Founded in Northern Ireland in 2000, The Answer have spent the last 13 years proving their rock ‘n’ roll credentials and making the kind of life-affirming, eardrum-threatening music that separates the truly great from the merely adequate. And now the band are poised to unleash their fourth studio album, the insanely exhilarating New Horizon: not just the strongest, catchiest and most thrillingly vital album of their career to date, but also a fearsome statement of intent that obliterates the competition and showcases their trademark rock’n’roll evangelism. Joining forces with acclaimed producer and Little Angel, the mighty Toby Jepson, they have seldom sounded as electrified by their own celebratory sound as they do on this latest immaculate sonic offering.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, hard rockers, high rollers and anyone else who may not regard themselves as any of the above. The beast that is The Answer stirs once more. We’re back and we’re back in a big way. With a brand new label, a new management team and a new album aptly named “New Horizon”, the CD, Special limited CD and double 12” vinyl (yep folks, you heard right!) are scheduled for release in UK & Europe on September 30th and on October 1st in the US of A. You see, our love for rock ‘n’ roll is still as fresh as a skinny dip in the Lagan (that’s the big river that runs through Belfast). We’re also thrilled to be able to let you know that despite his very sad and unfortunate passing, Storm Thorgerson and his team designed our new album cover. It is a testament to Storm’s professionalism that his illness didn’t prevent him from pouring his creative juices into our new art and we are both honoured and privileged for that. Yes..I think it’s safe to say we’re feeling good about the future folks. And to celebrate this surge of good feeling and positivity we’ve put together a bit of a tour that may interest our dedicated and much loved supporters out there. It’s the biggest UK & European headline tour we’ve ever embarked upon with dates elsewhere in that big wide world to follow. This is your cue to get excited folks because let me tell you…I haven’t been this excited since they put hallucinogenics in my drink before my a level music practical. The first single from the new album goes by the name of “Spectacular”. We thought we’d go for something nice and understated just to get the wheels turning again. “Spectacular” impact date is on September 16th but you’ll be able to get it complete with video and lots of nice bonus material a good 8 weeks before then! I’m confident this song will sufficiently wet the palate and who knows…it might even provide the soundtrack to your Summer. Keep your eyes peeled for lots of interesting stuff happening online over the next couple of months in the build up to the big day.
