From the basements of Long Island to amphitheaters across the nation, Patent Pending has been attacking the world with their anthemic brand of pop-tinged punk rock. From the acoustic soliloquy “Spin Me Around,” to the acclamation that is the title track, the band’s fourth album, 2011’s “Second Family,” delivers an unforgettable set of sing-alongs.

Patent Pending has also been enjoying the success of music videos for “One Less Heart To Break” and “Dance TIl We Die,” gaining rotation on MTV2 and being featured on MTV’s The Real World. After years on the road, the Long Island, NY five-piece continues to deliver an over the top and unforgettable live show. Having opened for Gym Class Heroes, Cobra Starship, and Bowling For Soup nationally, as well being veterans of the Vans Warped Tour and performing live on ABC’s 2012 Billboard Music Awards, Patent Pending is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

In a recent interview Joe was quoted saying “This band isn’t just something that we do, it’s the only thing that we do.” This attitude matched with the undying support of the “Second Family community” the band has built from the ground up is the force that drives this band to places they never dreamed they could get to. “Welcome to our Second Family.”

700 Website Patent Pending

Patent Pending is an acrobatic gang of musical misfits from Long Island, New York. With a never-say-die attitude and enough live energy to power Times Square, they’ve set their sites on taking over the music industry from the ground up. Growing in size from basements to amphitheaters, from VFW Halls to sold out headlining shows in the United Kingdom, they’ve never let go of the genuine DIY code of ethics the band was founded on over a decade ago. The live show, which has been described as “psychotically fun and dramatically moving,” is an inspiring testament to the passion the band pours into every aspect of their lives. With an ever growing army of “lifers” behind them (better known as – “The Second Family”) Patent Pending returns to battle with their album, “Brighter.” Pulling from all corners of the musical spectrum, the collection of tunes is a fearless and eclectic blend of genre-bending, arena ready anthems.

Hard work and dedication have yielded some incredible results for Patent Pending. They’ve enjoyed the success of three music videos reaching the coveted #1 spot on MTV.com, with state side rotation on MTV, MTV2, MTVu, Fuse on Demand and Scuzz TV in the United Kingdom. In 2012 PP’s warrior like determination won them the Billboard Music Awards “Dream Seeker Of The Year” trophy and afforded them the honor of delivering a ground-shaking performance of their song “Dance Til We Die” in front of a National Television audience of over 8 MILLION home viewers. Later that year, opportunity came knocking again in a big way when pop-rock legends “Bowling For Soup” gave the band an opening spot on their massive UK Tour. That first trip to Europe proved to be a life changer for the New York natives. It leads the band to return for multiple headlining tours and earned them a spot on Donnington Park’s historic DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL with the likes of Slipknot and Iron Maiden.

Equipped with an innovative and hilarious new single/mockumentary film for the their song “Hey Mario” and their ever-expanding tour schedule including the United States, United Kingdom, Germany and Australia in the coming months, this looks to be another landmark year for these Long Island misfits. Patent Pending shows no signs of slowing down and even less of forgetting where they came from. A quote from a recent interview with front man, Joe Ragosta can best explain – “The music makes us a band, the connection with the people who listen to that music makes us a family, and family is stronger than anything.”
