Following the huge success of Trevor Nelson’s debut at Thekla last year, this August the Radio 2 and MTV RNB legend returns to Bristol for a Summer special back on board the good ship Thekla, and is joined by recent Eastenders star, and UK soul legend OMAR on Friday 19th August.
The summer is in full swing and so we wanted to do something special in the West Country….. one of our best parties last year was on the wonderful vessel the Thekla docked up in Bristol – probably one of its kind…. a wonderful live music venue on a boat, with two rooms and a beautiful deck with a view across East Mud Dock, and we cant think of a better place to celebrate our love of old school RNB, soul, hip hop etc in the sun than to return to the grand lady of Bristol, Thekla on Friday 19th August. To take in the early evening midsummer vibes we will be opening earlier at 8pm, with a special live music guest performing before the main event when Trevor Nelson takes over the decks at 11pm, all the way through to 2am. There will also be a bit of 00s HIP HOP & RNB in room 2, with a special guest playing some Ayia Napa style garage favourites from the classic Ayia Napa era of 1999-2000s (guest dj to be announced)
