The Bottle x Eminent: Lone (LIVE) - Thekla Bristol

The Bottle x Eminent: Lone (LIVE)

The Bottle and Eminent combine to take over the historic Thekla, with a lineup full of some of UK dance music’s most exciting innovators.
Headlining we a very special performance from Lone, who fresh from the release of their ethereal latest album ‘Always inside your head,’ will be debuting their new LIVE set for the first time in Bristol. A singular artist with a sound recognisable as soon as you hear it, his dreamy, uplifting yet melancholic style of electronica, presents fresh takes on ’90s UK dance music, from ambient and electronica through to rave-indebted bangers.
Joining Lone will be Surgeons Girl, who will also be showcasing their own incredible LIVE set, and bringing their unique style of ambient and melodic techno to proceedings, alongside Otik who’s blend of percussive, tough drum workouts, with chill inducing, often anthemic melodies, has bred a string of incredible releases, most recently on labels such as Intergraded and 3024. Completing the lineup and hosting room 1 will be The Bottle stooges, and purveyors of all things disturbed, The Milkshake Boys.
In Room 2 we have a quite frankly silly lineup comprised of some the most exciting selectors in the UK Bass, Electro, and Hardcore scenes. First we have Aloka, who needs little introduction, their unique productions flitting between deep ethereal electro and tough breakbeat workouts with their dj sets offering just as much eclecticism and energy.
Joining Aloka will be Ifeoluwa, a cornerstone of the Bristol dance music scene and multi talented artist, not only as a DJ, but also a writer, lecturer, radio host and head of Intervention, who provide a space for womxn, non-binary, queer and people of colour to learn DJing and production skills in a free and safe environment. As a DJ they are as comfortable playing rough bass and hardcore as they are traversing grunge and naughties sadboi anthems, and we can wait to see what they bring to Thekla on the 22nd.
And completing the lineup is Eminent big boss and resident Hywel Gregory, and Pluralist, who’s releases on labels like Panel Audio, Control Freak Recordings, Erbium, and Manuka Records have seen him earn airplay on 1Xtra via Emerald, Giles Peterson’s Radio 6 show and plays from the likes of Ben UFO.
