A guide to attending gigs and clubnights after Monday 19 July
Following the great news for our industry that the Government have lifted restrictions from Monday 19th July, we want to continue looking out for each other, which is why we are asking a couple of things of you when you visit Thekla from next week:
If you have tested positive or are showing symptoms of Covid or think you might be an infection risk due to being in close contact with someone who has tested positive, do not attend the venue and please stay at home until you are all clear.
We will not be using the proposed Covid passport or certification system at this time, as we understand there are many reasons why some may not be eligible for this, but we do ask that you do everything you can to ensure you are not infectious before visiting, including:
Taking a lateral flow test
Reporting immunity if previously infected
Masks are no longer compulsory; however we encourage that you continue to wear one inside the venue.
We will no longer be taking table booking or providing table service, and we are back to operating at full capacity, so we’re returning to the classic system of ordering at the bar without apps – contactless payments are still preferred.
Our staff will be wearing masks to keep each other safe and they will be continuing with the lateral flow testing regime we have had in place for some time.
We will continue with our heightened cleaning processes throughout the venue, with regular deep cleans, wipe-downs and cleansing of touch points, and there will still be a bunch of hand sanitiser knocking about the place for customer use, which we encourage.
We’re so excited to begin the journey back to normality with you all, so let’s be kind to each other, respect each other’s choices and have a fucking great time, OK?
