Following our summer in dry dock last year, we are very pleased to announce that this year at Bristol Harbour Festival, we will once again be running a stage on board the good ship, as well as our outdoor Harbour Stage on The Grove car park. Dates for the festival are Friday 17th, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th July. This year we will be running a free show on the Friday night for this first time!

Tim Burgess Show Postponed

Please note that this Tuesday's show with Tim Burgess has been postponed. A new date is to be announced shortly. Statement follows:

"Tim Burgess has been forced to postpone the next two shows on his UK tour on doctors advice as he has lost his voice. All ticket holders for Birmingham and Bristol should hold on to their ticket as an announcement about rescheduling will be made imminently. Apologies to all the fans who were looking forward to these shows."

Edan Returns To Thekla

Way back in October 2006 when the Thekla re-opened after our huge refurbishment, the first act to grace the stage was Edan. The clip above was shot on that night - huge thanks to whoever uploaded it - and we're pleased to announce that Edan is returning to the boat on Sunday 29th April along with Mr. Lif and more!

Dot To Dot Festival 2012

The mighty metropolitan festival that is Dot To Dot returns to our fair city this June for Jubilee weekend. The lineup's looking great so far, with the likes of The Drums, Pulled Apart By Horses, Willy Mason and Wavves already confirmed and more to be announced soon!

Wanted: Resident DJs

WANTED: RESIDENT DJs


With lots of exciting new club events coming your way this September, we are looking for a whole bunch of new resident DJs to join the Thekla Crew!

Here are the different genres/event styles that need DJs:
~ guilty pleasures / pop anthems / maybe a tiny bit of cheese
~ disco / funk / soul / motown
~ party bangers / 90s dance / hip-hop / rnb
~ drum and bass / jungle
~ uk garage

If you are interested in covering any of the events above, please ensure that you are Bristol-based and then follow these very simple instructions and we will pass on your mixes to the relevant promoter:

1. Record & upload a mix of between 30 and 60 minutes in your chosen style(s) from those listed above.
