Since forming 4 years ago, Bristol-based Dub Mafia have become one of the most popular dance acts in the UK, Europe and beyond.

The seven-piece band – who blend drum and bass, dub, dubstep, bashment, breakbeat and world music into their own unique sound (with a strict policy of ‘no backing tracks’ – ever) receive rave reviews wherever they play – from sweaty clubs to packed festivals.

Fronted by singer Eva Lazarus, the band have won over hundreds of thousands of fans over the last year, including show-stealing performances on the main stage at Outlook in Croatia (Europe’s biggest drum and bass music festival), the Matscher Au Reloaded festival in Northern Italy and a special guest slot in Romania supporting the legendary LTJ Bukem.

THE ZEN HUSSIES

Since their formation in 2001, Bristol-based band The Zen Hussies have established themselves as a formidable live act with their original brand of swinging stomp and song.

A mighty brass and reed section blow hot and heavy to the roots rhythm section of guitars, double bass and drums, and their well crafted and often surprising musical arrangements are the perfect sonic vehicle for the infectious lyrics and melodies of front-man, instrumentalist and lead vocalist Jules Landau (AKA Jonah Flatfoot).

Now with three critically acclaimed, full length LPs under their braces – ‘Flatfoot Sharpsuit’ (2005), ‘Continental Adaptor’ (2008), and ‘Troubled Feet’ (2010) - The Zen Hussies have shown themselves to be more than capable of capturing the effervescence of their live performances on record, and prove popular with DJs and fans across Europe and beyond – most recently striking distribution deals in Japan with HMV and the legendary Disc Shop Zero in Tokyo.

Their large repertoire of chiefly original songs encompass a broad array of stylings made uniquely their own – Jump Jive, Swing and Dixieland Jazz, Ska, Rhythm and Blues and Gypsy Klezmer to name but a few, and their current six piece line-up is tighter and stronger than ever.
