LEWIS WATSON

“His big word of mouth following could make him the next Ben Howard.” – The Independent
“Looks set to replicate Ed Sheeran’s success… his emotionally open storytelling qualities will resonate with the A Team singer’s huge fanbase.” – Sunday Times Culture
“An internet sensation from Oxford leading a new breed of sensitive, guitar-toting singer-songwriters.” – Daily Mail
“The man set to grab a chunk of Ed Sheeran’s market proves his worth.” – The Mirror
The continuing ascension of Lewis Watson has received some major boosts in recent weeks. Not only did he play two packed sets at his debut Glastonbury appearance, but his current EP ‘Four More Songs’ hit the Top 10 at iTunes – his fourth consecutive EP to achieve that feat. Its success has also spread to Australia where the EP debuted at #1 on the iTunes singer-songwriter charts. Recent months have seen Lewis sell-out shows all over the country, headline The Great Escape festival, tour with Benjamin Francis Leftwich and play three special intimate shows in one day at London’s St. Moritz which saw hundreds of fans queuing around the block to gain entry. His festival escapades will continue throughout the summer with further dates including T in the Park, Wakestock, Camp Bestival, Y Not, Jersey Live, Bestival and a headline set at the Underground Festival. ‘Four More Songs’ represents Lewis Watson’s most upbeat release to date and finds him pushing his songwriting to develop a bigger sound with more intricate and eclectic elements added to the production. The lead track ‘Calling’ was named as Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record in the World and was playlisted by Radio 1’s In New Music We Trust and by XFM (daytime playlist).
